Funny you mention breakfast. We went to Hash House A Go Go yesterday to prepare for a day of tromping around the USS Midway. I swear we were very nearly done in by a pancake bigger than the plate it was served on! We sat at the bar and had a great chat with our server Jay and he assured us that few actually finished the whole thing so we shouldn’t feel bad. I have to say the combination of coconut and banana was just incredible. I was truly digesting for the entire day though. Didn’t end up eating again until 8 oclock at night and even then, hardly hungry. Now that’s a breakfast! The weather is beyond amazing and it is going to be really hard to go home.

YAY! I am glad that worked out for you. I love the Hillcrest farmers market. Look forward to hearing how you liked it all! Definitely let me know. I am sure you are LOVING the weather 🙂 Make sure you hit up some of the fantastic breakfast joints in Hillcrest. There are several and so far no one does it quite like SD.

I don’t get how your life will immediately shift over the change of some numbers on a calendar. Every day is a New Years Eve, it is all in how you choose to approach the following day when you get up in the morning. At least that is how I see it. That’s what I am trying to do anyway.”

Thank you for writing that exact sentiment! Everyone around me seemed to be racing to the end of the year with a get it over with kind of mentality. I couldn’t understand or figure out how to express it and your post gave me some perspective.

I wanted to thank you for your recommendation on the Hillcrest area in San Diego. My husand and I are here on holiday currently and ended up renting a gorgeous house just off University. The area is fantastic and the weather has been beautiful and not just in comparison to the snow and deep freeze we have back in Calgary. Wandered the Hillcrest Farmer’s Market today and tomorrow we’re off to LaJolla tomorrow for some kayaking. Thank you again for the outstanding recommendation. All the best for you and your family in 2014.

Rebecca
